“A Christmas Carol” The Musical
About the Show
With Music written by Alan Menken, Ahrens and Flaherty’s A Christmas Carol is a spectacular adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story. Ebenezer Scrooge, a wealthy yet cold-hearted miser, cares little for anything beyond his own fortune, dismissing Christmas and all its goodwill with a bitter “Bah! Humbug!” His rigid world is shaken on Christmas Eve when he is visited by three ghostly spirits. Each one leads him on a powerful journey through his past, present, and future, revealing the consequences of his selfishness and the loneliness it has created. Awakening on Christmas morning with a renewed spirit, Scrooge joyfully embraces the holiday, determined to make amends and share love and generosity with those around him.

WHAT TO PREPARE / Expect at Auditions:
Please prepare a 32 bars of a song showing your range, bring sheet music as an accompanist will be provided. Upon arrival, auditioning actors will fill out an audition form. Please bring a copy of your resume, headshot, and a list of Conflicts you may have during the rehearsal process. NO conflicts for tech week , everyone is required to attend each day.

Blending horror, romance, and psychological drama, this stage adaptation explores themes of power, fear, and desire.

WHAT TO PREPARE / Expect at Auditions:
Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue (classical or gothic tone preferred, but not required). Accents (British, Eastern European) are a plus but not required. Upon arrival, auditioning actors will fill out an audition form and then actors will be called on the stage (group audition style). There will be slight movement involved as we will be playing some theater games as an ice breaker.
